  • I've got a White Ace set of plateblock pages I picked up on Ebay. They are split back mounts. Many mounts were already attached, and many stamps (MNH OG) when I bought them.
  • Thanks ya'll, I must have had a senior moment. I have a scanner in fact it is a HP-5000. I'll start scanning right away!
  • I don't have a lot of stamps. Which option should I chose. What is directory listing? I've never done this and don't know my @ss from a hole in the ground. I'm afraid I'll sell my paltry amount of stamps and have nothing to sell in no time.
  • I guess I'll open a store but I need a good camera first, unless photo copies are good enough. Advice please.
  • If this is sn#558 Mystic sells singles of this stamp for $60.00. I know they may be over priced, but looks like you have quite a find. Should be worth a considerable amount of cheddar!
  • I watch items at auction. If the auction is for 24hrs Alexa tells me in 23 hrs so I can check the bids and see if I wish to bid. If the item is already out of my price range I stop watching.
  • Oh I see, I pasted all the numbers and stuff. Didn't mean all that. That was intended for an ad...sorry.
  • Not enough to open store. I'll go to Ebay. Not selling them here, either way. I've never sold anything on ebay or anywhere else. Just try ing to get advice on selling at ebay, hip stamp, even amazon...whatever.
  • Thanks, I'll hunt for one. I've been watching utube, and reading articles on the internet. I recon a lot of research is required to collect stamps. I see over 80 views and only your comment. I apologize for my ignorances.

  • Here's my solution. The blocks are opposite the page where the album presents them as singles I don't like fingernails on chalk boards either!
  • Welcome, I suppose you can talk whenever you wish. Someone will wander through and respond. I am a new collector and am confused about "mint" stamps. Mint, but hinged? Mint no glue? Mint Used? Mint recut...what the hell is going on?
  • Entering your collected stamps is tedious. Should be able to list sets besides individually. sn555-62- for example. No one wants to enter 2000 stamps one at a time.
  • why is a stamp described as mint when it has been hinged?

  • i AM ALSO A NOVICE COLLECTOR, AND WANTED THE MOST COMPROHENSIVE ALBUM i COULD FIND. I ONLY COLLECT US STAMPS SO MYSTIC HEIRLOOM WAS ALSO MY CHOICE. i THINK THEY'RE UP TO AROUND 89.00. THAT INCLUDES ALL US STAMPS UP TO 2019, INCLUDING AIRMAIL. I HAVE…
  • I just worry about over paying. I'm not collecting to make money, but I also don't want to throw money away.
  • I have added several older "mint" stamps that have been hinged or are "thin." I only collect us stamps at present. Like Doug above the older MNH OG stamps are way to expensive for me. The hinged or thin stamps are before 1915, everything after are M…
  • Thanks; No more hinged stamps for me then. All my stamps after 1912 are MNH OG. The last one being sn# 424. I have a hard time affording those older cherries. At the present I only collect US stamps, World wide just seems too overwhelming.

  • how about a hinged mint stamp? How bad does it depreciate it's value?

  • first country, then denomination, that's my method. I only collect US stamps now, so denomination gives you a general idea of year.
  • Why are some stamps sold as mint that have been canceled?
  • I didn't separate them. I added stock sheets to my album and the blocks remain intact; but I did damage one block.
  • they r MNH blocks...nothing special
  • Thanks, I'll probably mount singles in my album. I'm know purist after all.
  • I am also a novice collector that only collects US stamps. I wanted as complete an album as I could find. I purchased the 3 volume heirloom set from Mystic Stamp Co. This set was originally $59.00; I got it for $49.00 on promotion. It lists every …
