Newfoundland became part of Canada in 1949 and Newfoundland stamps were valid for use in Canada. They still remain valid for use today. In addition, Newfoundland Inland Revenue stamps were in use well into the 1960s.

Interesting comment. Were all stamps printed with the fugitive ink or only a select number? Ron's scan shows 4 stamps that were presumably treated in a similar manner yet only 1 is washed out.

Thanks Ron. Your scan certainly shows the same colours. I checked Gibbons and there is no mention of any colour variations for this issue. So now we know that there are at least 2 out there. lol

This is a colour changeling. All colour trials of this issue were imperf. Could have been caused by sunlight or by some chemical source.

I'm still seeing this issue after 24 hours. Received multiple feedbacks from buyer but my count only increased by 1.

Wayne Try keeping your sold items in your Closed/Sold list until they have been shipped. If you have to cancel a sale, you can go into the list and do a bulk relist. There may be other ways but this seems like a simple fix.
