I uploaded a bunch of stamps from Berlin, when I type Berlin in the search keyword field I get nothing in the Browse listing, I have to type Germany Berlin for my items to show, but for the DDR all I have to do is type DDR for example and all my items for DDR will show am I doint something wrong here or is Berlin different

    I believe you are confusing the country names with the city names. Both Germany and DDR come up because both are country categories. Whereas DDR (country) and Berlin (city) are different. That is why you need "Germany" in your search perameter as well as Berlin to bring up Berlin listing. Hope that makes sense.

    Bonaparte, I've taken a quick look at your listings and you have the Country field set to "Germany" for your Berlin listings. However, it should be set to "Berlin" - which will ensure it comes up in search results for "Berlin".

    The "Country" field is really for the Country or Stamp Issuing Entity. In general, if you're listing an item individually, and in the title your write "Berlin" or "Germany Berlin" we should auto-populate the Country field to "Berlin" for you, so everything should work as-is, unless you then overwrite the Country as "Germany".

    Regardless of what name is placed in the country field, why doesn't the search show results for the keyword "Berlin?" I can call up any of my listings with only a keyword search, without including a country name.

    Country Names specifically are handled differently within searching. This allows for significantly more accurate results, and also allows for such things as "United States", "U.S.", "USA", etc. to provide the same results.
