Non responsive dealer

I made a purchase from a dealer on Hipstamp on 11-27-16. Have not received stamps nor heard from dealer after sending 2 emails. Sent email to admin to report this and have not heard from them. My next step is to report to PayPal which I don't want to do. Can anyone give me guidance in a situation like this. I don't want to lose my money but don't want to cause harm to a dealer that may be sick or something. Thank you

  • Get your refund from PayPal.
List the dealers site here so we can have a look.

  • You paid and no stamps??
Yep I would think here in few, Mark will chime in and you might see things happen...
Let us see his shop...I know it ain't me...I got a guy from Netherlands demanding invoice and I don't ship overseas.wooo..not me.
    Keep us posted.
  • It's kind of you to delay the bashing in the event the seller fell ill. I would leverage the "contact me" route and give it a fair amount of time for Mark and his team to respond Hopefully they are investigating. They should be able to tell if the seller is active on the site. If the seller is active, then bash away. You can also check to see if the seller is actively leaving feedback for others.
  • I agree with Doug - I had a customer on Bidstart who bought a bunch of stamps and never paid for them. I generally give benefit of the doubt (of course I don't make a living doing this)... Two months later he wrote and apologized but he had been in an accident and just got out of the hospital and wondered if by any chance the stamps were still available. No problem. He had purchased over 100 stamps from another dealer and was given negative feedback on all of them. I noticed that about a month later he was no longer listed as a member.
I understand the need to warn others if we have a rogue buyer or seller but let's use a bit of common sense and give benefit of the doubt. It's not hard to tell if someone i active on the site.
  • Just Checked again - 1 positive feed back 12/1/16 for dealer StampsVT - dealer. Back in July two other buyers never received stamps. I guess I will wait till the weekend to see if I hear anything from Mark. If not I'll go through PayPal.
  • When SW/BS was up and running, we had to wait 21 days for a shipment or payment. If nothing was received we were able to do a Claim back. I would wait the 21 days (which you are almost up to) and then submit a ticket to the staff requesting your money be returned as nothing has been communicated from the seller.

I believe you have 30 days to request payment from Pay Pal. I would give Mark or Justin time to refund your money. If it gets close to the 30 days and nothing has been done, then turn to Pay Pal.

Only my suggestions. With the thought that others have given feedback with the same complaint of not receiving their orders, something is up and Mark should be notified.

Good luck and do let us know how this turns out.

Oh, also, one of my thoughts, and my thought alone, do not tell us on this public forum who the seller is. If we want to know, we can private message you. This is a public forum and we should not be slamming another member even if they do deserve it.
  • Everyone is saying to wait for Mark to look into this. I'm fine with that but have not heard anything from him saying he is looking into this. I need to watch the time frame as I don't always go on line during the week. Thanks for all your feed back. I surely did not have any intent of "slamming" any dealer.
  • William, did you put in a ticket? I know I don't do "wait" very well and I know Mark doesn't always have the time to read all the posts all the time. So submitting a ticket would be the fastest way to get attention. Just click on the Contact Us at the bottom of this page and that will get you to the ticket area.
  • Yep a ticket is way quicker
  • Ticket??? Have no clue what that is or how to go about it. Can anyone guide me?
    Appreciate it.
  • William; Scroll to the bottom of the page and in the left column under "Help" click on "Contact Us". This should take you to the "Submit Ticket" tab and just submit your information.
  • William, at the bottom of this page you will see under HELP "Contact Us". Just click on Contact Us and fill out the form and submit it.
  • also have a seller issue but submit ticket page is acting up and not functional for me. The drop down menus are not working and I don't know the sellers website. Cannot submit ticket without these boxes completed. So I'm stuck. Anyone have Marks' email address or a phone be to contact some at hipstamp? The seller is rmhilton1958 and my invoice # is 855843, Lot of stamps Scott 134-148 third issue revenues complete.
I really want the set and don't want to damage dealer any further. His is mostly high value issues and his last two sales prior to mine were also not mailed. Help?? Please
