How do I get rid of the messages from page?

I would love to see a box next to a message that I could click to delete or save a message...Most messages I don't have to save......they tend to take up lots of space....Help help...make them go away⊙⊙⊙

Go to Members Area and click on Messages. It shows your Messages with a box by it. Click on the box and then hit Archive at the bottom.
