  • I am trying to find an answer for a similar issue noted above. I use private IDs for all my listing but with a recent order there were three item missing from my inventory (sorted by Private Ids so i can locate the exact stamp pictured). after a few searches i found they all three had been previously sold. I also found several duplicate listings. not just a second listing but exact duplicates including the Private IDs currently listed i deleted the second listing.

The duplicated stamps had successive item numbers created micro seconds apart Items 26381582 and 26381579 created at 21:49.46 and 21:49.56 the next stamp listed was 26381582 at 21:51.01 which is about right for a successive manually entered stamp from the same country.

i would like to explain how this happened to my buyer as i cannot provide him the stamps he ordered. does anyone have suggestions This appears to have have happened to several but not all the stamps listed at that time.
  • When you list, are you using the "Quantity 1" or a higher quantity?

If you are using a Quantity of 2 or more, the sold stamp will automatically relist using that same image. It doesn't matter about the Private ID. As far as I know, as I do not use Private ID's.
  • When you use our Bulk Lister, or our API, you can not list an item with the same Private ID as an active listing. However, if you're creating listings manually, this is not the case - you can reuse Private IDs. So if you create a listing, and then click List Similar - and accidentally list the same exact item - you would have two listings for the same item.

If you do use unique Private IDs, and did not intend to list any items with the same Private ID as another, reach out to our Support Team, and we should be able to provide you with a list of any current listings that you have, which have the same Private IDs - so that you can review these.
  • Brent,
This happens to me sometimes. When you are listing occasionally an error page pops up even though the listing went into your store. If you hit the list tab again you will get a duplicate listing exactly as the first one. Just ignore the error pop up.

  • Hi,I had the same problem & my mouse was double clicking for a single click, nothing to do with Hip,I just did not notice .
    Could be the same problem
  • I HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. WHEN JUSTIN WORKED FOR HIPSTAMP HE TOLD ME TO USE THE BULK LOADER. I DID NOT BECAUSE I WOULD HAVE TO LEARN A WHOLE NEW SYSTEM. AND THEN TEACH MY EMPLOYES HOW TO DO THAT. AT 75 YEARS OF AGE YOU DONT WANT TO LEARN A NEW WAY. I JUST CHECK MY WORK AND THEN DELEAT TO DOUBLES.
  • Is Justin no longer with HipStamp?
  • Justin left last year, around the beginning of October.
