A great TED talk begins and ends with a great idea — in TED-speak, that idea would be worthy of spreading. That’s it.
Once you have that idea worth spreading nailed, it’s all about speaking tips and nods to TED talk etiquette:
start where your audience is don’t be too earnest drop your ego, if appropriate be vulnerable don’t sell or bloviate no jargon, be careful with acronyms, etc. start interesting, be interesting — connect rehearse more times than you think you should (in front of live audiences) consider working with a writer to help you craft turns-of-phrase, force clarity and build a narrative that is commensurate with your great idea. above all, be yourself — be authentic. Very nicely done video , German ladies..perhaps the most interesting aspect of Marlene Dietrich's bio is that she was a likely spy and informant during WW2 and beyond. Her files were destroyed in 1980, but she was a true cultural icon.
