April 13, 1916 Galesburg, Illinois Machine cancel Knox College signed McClelland, President sent to Miss Lida M. Hicks in Canton, ILL. Thomas McClelland, 1900-1917. Before coming to Knox, Thomas McClelland taught philosophy at Tabor College in Iowa and served as president of Pacific University in Oregon. He emphasized scholarship at Knox.
