Item Description

WWII APO 35 German Soldiers Horse Dispatch Rider Postcard GI Victor 1945. APO 25 and 454 (used by writer in his address) were located in Germany at this time. Postage free sent by soldier. For some reason, these types of cards are much less common used than unused. I suppose after the war, people threw away their WWII correspondence--maybe to forget. The German postcard reads: Meldereiter or roughly translated: Dispatch Rider. Writer mentions snappy uniforms and nice looking horses but as he says, "good fighters?"
