The iconic Woody Wagon of 50s and 60s Surf Culture appeared on a 2001 coil stamp for use on Pre-Sorted Postcards. It was a good-looking stamp that seldom showed up in collectors hands serving its intended purpose.This First Day Cover - serviced at the AFDCS convention in 2001 - shows a quintet of woodpeckers proud of their collective wood-carving skills at fashioning a Woody and a Surfboard from a former tree!
The three stamps on this wood-grained cover form an exploded PNC strip for plate number S1111.
