The beautiful (and educational!) WONDERS of AMERICA issue of 2006 highlighted various superlatives found in the USA . . . and several of the stamp subjects were birds and animals who could boast of being the best in their class!This Pop-Up FDC highlights the "Largest Land Mammal" stamp showing the American Bison. It is paired with the Bison stamp from 2001's Great Plains Prairie sheet, and both stamps are cancelled with the official FDoI cancel of May 27, 2006.
The cover fits a normal FDC sleeve . . . put unfolds to nearly 12" wide to show all 8 'super critters' that are depicted in the stamps of this issue.
It's a 'WHALE of a cover'!
