The beautiful (and educational!) WONDERS of AMERICA issue of 2006 highlighted various superlatives found in the USA . . . and several of the stamp subjects were birds and animals who could boast of being the best in their class!This Pop-Up FDC highlights the "Largest Rodent" and "Largest Frog" stamps, showing the American Beaver and the American Bullfrog! That's them on the front of the cover, shaking hands! Both stamps are cancelled with the official DCP cancel of May 27, 2006.
The cover fits a normal FDC sleeve . . . but unfolds to nearly 12" wide when you open it up to show all 8 'super critters' , like the Peregrine Falcon, Pronghorn and Blue Whale that are depicted on the stamps of this issue.
It's a 'WHALE of a cover'!
