Item Description
The annual convention of the American Topical Association found itself in Wisconsin in 2011, and the society issued three collectable cards for the three days of the show - cancelled on June 24, 25 and 26 of 2011. The themes of the cards celebrated Wisconsin's Dairy superiority, the appetites of Cheesehead State Mascots, and the home of Harley-Davidson motorcycles.Each of the cards was franked with the 1998 commemorative saluting Wisconsin's statehood sesquicentennial and cancelled with a special pictorial cancel that combined the state's themes with a cow riding a Harley, leaving milk bottles in his wake.
Each card measures 3 3/4" x 6".
The reverse of the cards offers info about the ATA and their convention, and includes quick thumbnail roughs of the card designs that were originally submitted for approval.
