Winterthur Museum. Post Cards with Official and Unofficial First Day of Issue Cancellations of Scott #1753 13c French Alliance commemorative stamps, FDOI, May 4, 1978, York, Pennsylvania. One of the cards has the official York cancel and the unoffical Winterthur, Delaware cancellation; the other has only the unofficial Winterthur cancellation.The stamp design source is a statuette owned by the Winterthur Museum. Included with the cacheted post cards is a page from the Winterthur Newsletter (Fall 1983) describing the porcelain. Each card measures 3 5/8" x 6 1/2"; the newsletter page is 8 1/4" x 10 3/4".
