Item Description
1919 WW I France Delandre Charity Poster Stamp Peace Truth, Liberty, Justice 2 Pairs Of 2 Each Unused HR 85% OG. This Is A French Poster Stamp Featuring The Inscriptions "PAX" (Latin For "Peace") And "VERITAS, LIBERTAS, JUSTITIA" (Latin For "Truth, Liberty, Justice"). These Stamps Were Produced Around 1919, Shortly After World War I, As Part Of The Delandre Vignettes Series. Delandre Vignettes Were Created By Gaston Fontanille, Who Used The Pseudonym "Delandre." These Stamps Were Not Valid For Postage But Served As Promotional Or Commemorative Labels, Often Used To Raise Funds For Various Causes Or To Promote Messages Of Peace And Reconstruction In The Post-War Period. The Imagery Of A Gothic Cathedral On The Stamp Likely Represents The Notre-Dame De Reims, A Significant French Landmark That Suffered Extensive Damage During World War I. The Inclusion Of This Cathedral Underscores Themes Of Peace And Rebuilding. Chat GPTSeller Information
