I apologize to all philatelists out there. My dad is 85 years young and I am trying to help him "downsize" some of his stuff. Stamps appear to be "some of his stuff". What I know about stamps would probably fit on the stamp itself, but I am trying to look things up as I go. Please, if you see something incorrect regarding my listing, let me know so that I can learn (and also correct the listing).

Here are 2, early 1900's US Postal Cards with the black printed stamp of President McKinley. Image is in a circle. One cent denomination. Both cards are used/cancelled. Both are 1908 issue. these cards have a line at the left third of the front indicating that the space to the left can also be used for a message. You can buy one or both. I am asking $1 each, but feel free to make an offer. The photos correspond to the numbered items below, so if you only want one card, please specify which one.

1. 1914 postmark from Valeene, Ind. Jan 26th in a large, round circle. The cancellation over the stamp is 4 short, straight lines. The stamp is faded and a little worn at the top edge. The back contains a personal communication.

2. 1909 postmark from Washington, D.C., Feb 22nd, in a circle. Cancellation is an elipse with thick lines, but I cannot discern the number in the center. The stamp is a beautiful dark black in color, but it has a slight bend extending across the upper, right side of the stamp, on a diagonal. There is also a vertical crease down the center of the card which doesn't effect the stamp. The back contains a personal communication regarding a baby's birth.

I would really rather not get any stamps back (hence the "getting rid of Dad's stuff") but if the stamp is not what you ordered ir is damaged in shipment (received in other than described condition), I will accept a return. Buyer pays return shipping fee & I will refund $ once I am in receipt of the item. You must contact me within 7 days of receipt of the item & send photos of the damage/issue.
