POSTAL CARD Varities; NINE; all 1c Jefferson, (Scott #UX14 // UPSS #S17), all used, first is a significant card used with an oil bubble (or foreign matter on plate?), very extreme and also with heavy wreath touching plate var, Houston TX machine cnl, shown in first and second scans, next is with top frame broken, local Ohio usage, machine cnl may be Doremus (?), third card has jitter doubling in inscription, fourth card (bottom right in second scan) has a SIGNIFICANT white area over the ear, unlike the first card it appears to be foreign matter on the plate, unusual, fifth card is Carlton Minnesota usage with overinking at top showing wreath into frame var, sixth card (UL in fourth scan) shows a broken frame var, I thought this was interesting as it the same area where the so-called dent in frame existed, also shown close up in the first scan, seventh and eighth cards are both wreath into frame vars, finally the ninth and last card (Berlin Heights Ohio usage) is overinked, and yet has a portion at top of the stamp where the oval is missing! Some really great cards here, obviously some flaws, priced way below what you normally find, beginning of an exhibit of this Daggett card, Fine-VF.

Retail about $40. The original dealer prices on these were at least $100.
