Carroll hoy & company in new orleans. On reverse reads in part 'used during confederacy' and at left it is signed and dated by noted expert john h. Kimbrough 6-2-2010. Sent c. 1861, opened roughly with internal tape repaired tears to backflap, creating a clean opening at top, otherwise light general wear & toning. Fine condition.
