Description

USA stampless folded cover with 'SHIP 14 1/2' marking applied at the Wharf Post Office in New Orleans. Docketing indicates this letter regarding business concerns was sent by Henry P. Franklin on March 15, 1827 and received on April 19th. Addressed to Jonhn Waterman of New Orleans. (Scarce marking not listed in ASCC 4th Edition)

Sent 1827, some splitting at normal file folds, general wear & toning. Fine condition.
