Item Description

USA Scott# C18, Wide-Top, Mint, Original Gum, never hinged. One of the higher quality C18 plates I have handled over the years. Extra wide-top selvage, great color and a crisp impression on fresh white paper. The gum is pristine and fresh with high luster. Only a few tiny natural gum skips. There are only minimal flat plate gum bends and NO USPS STAPLE Holes.

Perfs are quite strong which is always an issue on these oversize plates, but these don’t “flop” at all when holding it by tongs in the center. Please see "perf strength photo" in addition to the gum photo.
