Amazing message reads, "Buffalo, NY Sept 9/ 1901, McKinley is getting better and think he will better. the exposition is great. big crowds and lots of schemes to get our good money. hoping you are well. (signed ) Louis" President McKinley was shot on September 6, 1901 and died on September 14th. He was the third President to be assassinated.
