Description

USA Scott #1 stamp with 4 ample margins, tied by red cancel and with red January 10 (1850) Charleston, South Carolina "5" cds and "Paid" manuscript, on folded cover / letter on Eagle Mills stationery addressed to Messrs F. I. & M. Moses of Sumterville, South Carolina. Brief letter asking for settlement / payment of legal matters and signed by John H. (Reuaeker?) and with docketing. (Scott 2021 Catalog values #1 on cover at $425.00)

Sent 1850, opened cleanly at wax seal, normal file folds, light general wear & toning. Fine+ condition.
