Usa ohio 1930s 1c green blue on yellowish paper prepaid sales tax state local revenue vendor's receipt f/vf.
_under the ohio retail sales tax law of 1935, most items sold in stores faced taxation. The sales tax increased money to schools. Merchants were required to buy __paper stamps __from the state and give the receipt part to consumers to prove that merchants were being charged state sales tax to them. _the stamps were issued in two sections: the vendor half on the left and the consumer half on the right.

Pursuant to the guidelines for all sales of
tangible goods, taxes will be collected and remitted to the appropriate tax
