Item Description

These imperf pairs are both in Extremely Fine condition and are both mint never hinged. There is a sliver of a vertical gum skip on the top pair, otherwise sound never hinged.

As you will see from the first scan the spacing between the stamps is different with these two pairs. Top pair is 3 mm apart while bottom pair is 2.5 mm apart. While Scott catalog does not differentiate between these two varieties I have learned that the narrow pair is most likely from 1923 and the wider pair is most likely from 1925 when the Bureau of Engraving & Printing made the space between wider on a number of issues.

Combined catalog value is $12.00 according to Scott 2023.
