Cover contains a single of U.S. Scott C32 which pictures a DC-4 Skymaster and pays the 5-cent airmail rate in effect at the time of mailing from Cicago, October 1, 1946. There is a purple cachet picturing a helicopter and saying "U.S. Air Mail Chicago Area Experimental Helicopter Service Operated by Army air Forces". There is also a Waukegan, Illinois receiving backstamp dated October 1st and a printed "SUPPORT COTTON -- COTTON SUPPORTS YOU" on the reverse. There is a slight thin at top center where it appears tape or a hinge were removed (see scans).
