Grade: GemU.S. Scott 842 (2 coil strips of 3) 3 cent Prexies/Prexys picturing Thomas Jefferson paying the 5 cent air mail rate and 13 cent special delivery fee. The cover was mailed from Birmingham, Alabama to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on June 16, 1947 where it was received on the 17th. Roughly opened at top, creases in center, and tear on backflap (see scans).
