U.S. Scott 807 3 cent Prexie/Prexy issue picturing Thomas Jefferson post marked with both an Oakland, California duplex cancel and a slogan cancel (Buy Defense Savings Bonds and Stamps) dated January 26, 1942. The cover was mailed from Oakland to Steels Pansy Gardens in Portland, Oregon. Evidently, the cover was mailed without postage, as it is stamped "RETURNED FOR POSTAGE" which was crossed out when the 3 cent Prexie was added and the second cancel applied.Seller Information
