U.S. Scott 231, the 2 cent Columbian Exposition issue paying the 2 cent first-class rate, on an advertising cover for Lawrence E. Riley in Orangeburg, South Carolina. The cover was mailed from Orangeburg on July 22, 1893 and has a Charleston, South Carolina receiving mark on the reverse also dated July 22nd. The cover has the company's corner card on the front with text saying Riley is a "MANUFACTURER, REPAIRER AND DEALER IN Buggies, Wagons and Vehicles of All Kinds".Seller Information
