U.S. 1 cent Franklin Type I first bureau issue with a scarce Barr-Fyke machine cancel. The cover was sent from Washington, DC to La Plata, Maryland on February 3, 1898. There is a Receiving receiving cancel on the reverse, also dated February 3rd. There are several small stains but, otherwise, cover is in very good condition (see scans). If you purchase multiple lots on the same day (excluding specified large items, collections, and accumulations), wait for our invoice before paying as we will discount the shipping charges.
