Issued May 29 (50c) and May 30 (60c) these souvenir sheets commemorate the 150th anniversary of the first stamps issued by USA (1847). Pacific 97 represents the World Stamp Show held in San Francisco from May 29 to June 8, 1997. This item was sold through June 8th, causing a very limited number available for collectors. There were 4,600,00 sets of sheets printed but only 593,000 sets sold with the remainder of the printed sets destroyed, making this the rarest pair of souvenir sheets since 1933. Catalog value is $26.50 for this scarce set, a must for any collector of US stamps.Seller Information
