Item Description
In 1990 the USA and USSR put aside their differences long enough to participate in a Joint Issue with a set of four stamps that depicted a quartet of Marine Mammals species found in each country's waters on nearly identical stamps.These four FDCs bear the 4 stamps issued by the USA, each cover cancelled with the official pictorial FDoI postmark.
The frolicking pairs of creatures are depicted on an inserted card, visible through a cut out window in the light blue envelope, and positioned behind a clear piece of acetate to mimic an aquarium view!
