Us 583 on 1926 bird brothers partridge and turkeys illustrated advertising cover --- black meyersdale, pa. Feb 8 1926 (pennsylvania - february) circular dated postmark with thirteen-star wavy flag cancel tying stamp to cover --- illustration of a bird, perhaps a female turkey, among scattered grasses with f. L. Sewell 1897 signature at upper left --- after five days return to bird brothers, breeders of partridge rocks and bronze turkeys, meyersdale, pennsylvania at lower left

Addressed to mr. Lawrence, c. Allen, main street, sanford, maine --- stamp has perf crease at upper left --- small vertical tear from bottom --- soiled spot at upper left (from front) but otherwise slight soiling --- light wrinkling --- light diagonal creases at bottom corners --- cover slit open at top; dark strip across bottom or sides is the plastic holder in the scan
