Item Description

SCV $3.60 (2014). Strip of four (44-cent) American Scientists forever stamps in MNH, VF condition. No flaws noted. Serpentine die cuts are fully intact (i.e. no separations are noted), the stamps are crisp & their colors are bright. The stamps depict (in left-to-right order) the following American scientists: Melvin Calvin, chemist (SC #4541), Asa Gray , botanist (SC #4542), Maria Goeppert Mayer, physicist (SC #4543) and Severo Ochoa, biochemist (SC #4544). Selvage is attached to the left and right sides of the strip of stamps. Lithographed, self-adhesive gum, tagged, serpentine die cut 11.
