Item Description

Beautifully centered used copy of #454 with face-free contemporaneous machine cancel. Type II characteristics clearly discernable in photo #1. Single line U watermark visible in Signoscope photo #3. The black dot under Washington's chin is not an inclusion; it is actually on top of the stamp impression and probably part of the cancellation. Typical perforation anomaly at lower right most likely from being dispensed from a vending machine. This stamp measures 24.5 mm from top to bottom and 22 mm from the left perf tips to the right.
