US 213 on 1888 Hub Stoves Ranges illustrated corner advertising blue cover with black Boston, Mass. Oct 20 1888 (Massachusetts - October) circular dated postmark with horizontal 5 machine bars tying stamp to cover --- Stoves Hub Ranges in circular illustration including a hub at upper left corner

Smith & Anthony Stove Co., Boston, Massachusetts at left --- partially indistinct, black Bradford, New Hampshire October 22 1888 Received circular dated back stamp --- slight soiling --- tiny horizontal tear at left and two tiny tears from top (from front) --- cover cut open and reduced at right (from front)

Historical note: Smith & Anthony Company was a manufacturer of the "Hub" brand of artistic fireplaces, stoves, and range furnaces based in Boston, Massachusetts, that was founded in 1879 by William E. Smith and Edgar Waterman Anthony.
