_ Double Carving Error: _

_negatve "j-b" monogram in which the letter "j" is both reversed & inverted ! ! ! But the postmaster allowed its use despite the embarrassing errors - - -_

This listing offers_ _a large format u.S. Bank note stamp issue with a nice "fancy cancel" strike***. . . This fancy cancel is a hand-carved design . . .

Further, this particular design is identified [by a unique alpha-numeric assignment] and is represented by an accurately-sized tracing in the authorative james m. Cole catalogue, "cancellations and killers of the banknote era: 1870-1894."
