Lindbergh, who, In 1927 on the same date, flew his single engine plane named "The Spirit of St. Louis" from Long Island, NY, and Lindbergh and the Spirit of St. Louis were in the air for 30 hours and 30 minutes without touching down again until he reached the Le Bourget Aerodrome, in Paris, France. This cover is franked with a USA Lindberg stamp # 1710 on it's first Day of Issue, 05/20/1977 and franked also with a French stamp honoring Lindbergh's flight dated 6/4/77. Nice Historic Cover
