Us 146 on henry elliott rubber boot and shoe corner advertising cover with faint quartered cancel on stamp not apparently tying stamp to cover --- henry elliott & co., rubber boot and shoe agency, warren street, new york in an oval at upper left --- post master please return i f not called for in five days. Printed below oval at left

Addressed to h. B. Hamlin & son, hermon, new york --- small diagonal creases at corners --- slight soiling --- small notch at left (from front) --- small damaged spot at upper right (on back) --- back cover flap carefully opened; dark strip across bottom or sides is the plastic holder in the scan
