Scott 1071 200th anniversary of fort ticonderoga, captured by ethan allen in a surprise attack in 1775, artcraft, single, fdc, flap is sealed and cover is addressed

This cover was obtained as part of a large collection acquired by john edward griffith who was the nephew of the famed cachet designer / printer j. Neal griffith who issued very rare cachets to his friends during the 1930's and 1940's. This cover was serviced j. Neal griffith as he had stopped making his own cachets in the mid 1940's. Most of the covers are stamped on the rear from j. Neal griffith. You will find many more examples in my store.
