Item Description

SCV $8.10 (2020) for the stamps. Booklet of four 1-cent Benjamin Franklin (SC #597) coil stamps & three 3-cent Thomas Jefferson (SC #842) coil stamps in MNH fine condition. No flaws noted. On the SC #842 strip of coils, the perforations are fully intact (i.e. no separations are noted) although the strip has one fold between the first & second stamp so that the strip can fit into the within the booklet. The SC #597 strip of coils has a coil stamp at both ends separated, thus there are two single stamps and a pair of coils. The gum is immaculate & shiny, the stamps are crisp & their individual colors are bright. The stamps are enclosed within a cardboard booklet which makes them suitable for use in a Victory Outdoor Stamp Machine that was in common use during the 1940s through the 1960s. The booklet is clean with no bent corners and is printed on front & back in blue ink (see photos). A photo of the Victory Outdoor Stamp Machine has been included in this listing, but the machine is not included in the sale of the booklet of stamps and has been included strictly for illustrative purposes. The 1-cent Franklin coil stamps (SC #597) are a rotary press printing, water-activated gum, stamp design size=19¾ x22¼mm, perf 10 vertically. The 3-cent Jefferson coil stamps (SC #842) are a rotary press printing, water-activated gum, perf 10 vertically.
