Item Description

SCV $1.25 (2020). Single 6-cent Eagle in Flight first day of cancellation (FDC) in UNUSED condition. No flaws noted. The cover is nearly spotless, is clean with sharp edges, has red & blue edging and a black ink cancellation mark. The gum on the envelope flap is fully fully intact & shiny. A Fleetwood Fifth International Philatelic Exhibition (FIPEX) cachet is printed to the left side of the cover. The cancellation indicates that the cover was printed in "NEW YORK, N.Y." on "MAY 2 9-AM 1956" at the "FIPEX STATION". Envelope size = 172½ x 95mm, flap has water-activated gum, the stamp is embossed and its color is bright.
