United States, Scott #939, used(o), 1946, Merchant Marine Issue, Honoring the Actions of the United States Merchant Marine Force during World War II; stamps shows a Liberty Ship Discharging Cargo; Liberty ships were a type of cargo ship built in the United States during World War II under the Emergency Shipbuilding Program; the design was chosen for its simple, low-cost construction, and they were mass-produced on an unprecedented scale; the Liberty ship came to symbolize U.S. wartime industrial output; eighteen American shipyards built 2,710 Liberty ships between 1941 and 1945 (an average of three ships every two days); 3 cents, engraved, perforated: 10½x11, blue green Scott 2019 Catalog Value: 25¢, very slightly off-centered, double strike cancels, both plum-colored, single-rimmed, circular, socked-on-the-nose cancellations, the main, a quarter circular corner cancel on the lower left, the second, a touch cancel in the upper right corner, both cancels leave the main image clear, sound back, good perforations; centering and image clear cancellation warrants a selling price premium. This is not a 'bait-and-switch;' the stamp you see will be the one you receive.

I will send the purchase by US first class mail, since the relatively low value of the stamp does not warrant signature or tracking mail. Hence the buyer assumes risk of loss or non-delivery. I will keep a scan of my mailing to verify that the correct mailing address was used.
