Item Description

United States, Scott #5554, used(o), 2021, Priority Mail Parcel Stamp of the American Landmarks Series: Castillo de San Marcos at Saint Augustine, Florida, the fort was completed by the Spanish in 1695 when Florida was part of the Spanish Empire; today, it is the oldest masonry fort in the United State; it is a property of the National Park Service, and it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, $7.95, offset lithography printed by Ashton Potter USA (APU), issued with non-water soluble self adhesive, serpentine die cut simulated perforations: 10¾x10½, ‘USPS’ in black microprint under the foliage of the third inward palm tree on the left side, multi-colored, Scott 2025 Catalog Value: $8.00; nicely centered (superb), double strike cancels, both very light, quarter circular, red-inked, double rimmed, broken-up, socked-on-the-nose corner cancellations, the larger on the lower left, the second on the lower right, however the lightness of the cancels and their broken-up effects leave the main image remarkably clear, good perforations, stamp was issued pressure-sensitive, self-adhesive panes with a water insoluble gum, this stamp was soaked from the mailing envelope using the Bestine solvent and placed on a piece of black trimmed card stock for an attractive album mounting; centering, mounting, and image-free cancel warrants a selling price premium. This is not a 'bait-and-switch;' the stamp you see will be the one you receive.

I will send the purchase by US first class mail, since the relatively low value of the stamp does not warrant signature or tracking mail. Hence the buyer assumes risk of loss or non-delivery. I will keep a scan of my mailing to verify that the correct mailing address was used.
