Item Description

This Lot is a United States Scott #551 Plate Block of 6 used on Tupper Lake, New York cover addressed to same. Plate Block of 6 features stamps with three good margins, close at right, and centered toward top right. Coloring is deep brown with nice perforations - perforations all intact including between stamps. Plate block of 6 is tied by socked-on-the-nose cancel "TUPPER LAKE / AUG 18 1947 / NEW YORK" circular date stamp. Cover itself measures approximately 166 mm x 93 mm, is clean front and back, and has sharp corners and edges. As picture of reverse shows, toning of glue sealant exists along envelop flap seals. Please see pictures of front and reverse. Some very light toning from back flap seals shows on front - but very light.
