Item Description

United States, Scott #5040, used(o), 2016, American Landmarks Issue: La Cueva del Indio (Cave of the Indians), a natural cave on the north coast of Puerto Rico, ocean waves over the millennia have carved out a cave into the sharp rocks; the Taino Indians held tribal meetings and celebrations at this location centuries before the arrival of the Spanish conquistadors; the natives had carved out a series of petroglyphs for their tribal ceremonies which survive to today, $6.45, offset lithography printed by Ashton Potter USA (APU), non-water soluble self-adhesive panes, serpentine die cut simulated 10¾x10½ perforations, multicolored, Scott 2025 Catalog Value: $7.50, nicely centered (superb), light, smudged, quarter circular, red-inked, double-rimmed, socked-on-the-nose corner cancellation at the lower right of the stamp and clear of main image, good perforations, this stamp was soaked from the mailing envelope using the Bestine solvent and placed on a piece of black trimmed card stock for an attractive album mounting; centering, mounting, and image free cancel warrants a selling premium. This is not a 'bait-and-switch;' the stamp you see will be the one you receive.

I will send the purchase by US first class mail, since the relatively low value of the stamp does not warrant signature or tracking mail. Hence the buyer assumes risk of loss or non-delivery. I will keep a scan of my mailing to verify that the correct mailing address was used.
