Item Description

United States, Scott #4954, used(o), 2015, Patriotic Waves, $2.00, lithography printed by Ashton Potter USA (APU), issued with non-water soluble self adhesive gum, serpentine die cut simulated perforations: 11, ‘USPS’ in blue security microprint just above the lower blue line at the right edge middle, phosphorus tagged, red and blue, Scott 2025 Catalog Value: $1.00, nicely centered (superb), large, very faint, broken up, half circular, black-inked, double-rimmed, socked-on-the-nose cancellation at the top of the stamp, left of middle, and into the main image, however the lightness of the cancel leaves the main image largely clear, stamp has some surface damage at the top right border, hence discounted, missing surface ink on one perforation at the top, left of middle, otherwise good perforations, this stamp was lifted from the mailing envelope using the Bestine solvent and place on a piece of black trimmed card stock for an attractive and uniform album appearance with other stamps similarly mounted; centering, mounting, and image clear cancel warrants a selling price premium, but surface damage calls for an adjustment, so a wash. This is not a 'bait-and-switch;' the stamp you see will be the one you receive.

If you are ordering from the United States, there is only a $US0.73 added postage expense. Also, if you make additional purchases from my offerings, they can all go in one mailing at no extra shipping expense for the added purchases. I will send the purchase by US first class mail, since the relatively low value of the stamp does not warrant signature or tracking mail. Hence the buyer assumes risk of loss or non-delivery. I will keep a scan of my mailing to verify that the correct mailing address was used.
