Item Description
United States, Scott #4893, used(o), 2014, Third Annual Stamp in the Global Mail Circular Stamp Series, Sea Temperature Map Surrounding the United States; stamp shows one frame in the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) 1,460-frame animation of the Earth's climate, stamp is focused on the United States and shows portions of the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, the Caribbean, and the nations of Canada, and Central America, and a small area of South America; the first global stamp was issued on January 28, 2013 and shows a satellite picture of the earth; they decided to start issuing Global Forever stamps; these new stamps would simplify international mail, by offering a single stamp for all international destinations, and they chose a circular theme to the stamps; forever postage rate ($1.15), lithography printed by Ashton Potter USA (APU), serpentine die cut rouletted perforations, issued non-water soluble self adhesive panes, multicolored, Scott 2025 Catalog Value: 50¢, nicely centered (superb), quarter-to-half circular, red inked, double-rimmed, socked-on-the-nose, quarter counter-clockwise turned, cancel with some mailing details at the lower right when the stamp is positioned with the United States on the stamp in a north south orientation, good perforations, this stamp was lifted from the mailing envelope using the Bestine solvent and placed on a piece of black trimmed card stock for an attractive and uniform album appearance; centering. mounting, and image clear cancel warrants a selling price premium. This is not a 'bait-and-switch;' the stamp you see will be the one you receive. Please review my terms of sale. If you are not ordering from the United States, there is a $US1.65 additional postage expense that needs to be added to the price of the stamp. If you are ordering from the United States, there is only a $US0.73 added postage expense. Also, if you make additional purchases from my offerings, they can all go in one mailing at no extra shipping expense for the added purchases. I will send the purchase by US first class mail, since the relatively low value of the stamp does not warrant signature or tracking mail. Hence the buyer assumes risk of loss or non-delivery. I will keep a scan of my mailing to verify that the correct mailing address was used.
By way of reference, I am an American Philatelic Society member (195176) and an American Stamp Dealers Association (ASDA) member. Thank you for looking, and I hope this is the perfect stamp to fill that gap in your collection.
