United States, Scott #3132, used(o), 1996 coil, American Culture Series, Pre-Sorted First Class Mail: Juke Box; this stamp was the second in the American Culture series, the Wurlitzer Company gave the United States Postal Service permission to depict their Model 1015 — one of the most recognized jukebox designs of the 1950's 'sock hop' era; the Wurlitzer 1015 Jukebox was introduced in 1946, after the second World War ended and building materials became available again; the Model 1015 pushed Wurlitzer forward as the leader of jukebox manufacturing, with 56,000 units being sold in less than two years; this was the Golden Age of jukebox production; the 1015 wasn’t just a huge hit in the United States, but also appeared anywhere Americans went, following American soldiers all over the globe; two different printers were used to produce this series, leading to four different designs for this stamp; this stamp is lighter in color than some of the other issues, and the date is in black ink, and it has imperforated edges; no value indicated, but the stamp was sold for 25¢ to pay for the rate, photogravure printed, clearly imperforated at top and bottom borders and also imperforated at the sides, but with printed perforation holes, multicolored, Scott 2019 Catalog Value: 50¢, nicely centered, large, double strike cancels, both circular, red-inked, double-rimmed, socked-on-the-nose cancellation, one, quarter circular corner cancel on the top right, second, half circular border cancel at lower edge, both combine to provide partial mailing details {(MOUNT)AINSIDE N(J 07)092}, this stamp was soaked from the mailing envelope using the Bestine solvent and placed on a piece of black trimmed card stock for an attractive album mounting; mounting and mailing details warrants a selling price premium. This is not a 'bait-and-switch;' the stamp you see will be the one you receive.

I will keep a scan of my mailing to verify that the correct mailing address was used.
