Item Description

SCV $2.00 (2014). Block of four 3-cent stamps commemorating the second Byrd Antarctic Expedition in UNUSED, F-VF condition. Hinge remnants & a thin spot are seen on the stamps at the upper positions of the block & a diagonal crease is seen across the two bottom stamps, otherwise no flaws noted. The gum is immaculate & shiny (except in the area of the remnants), perforations are fully intact (i.e. no separations noted), the stamps are crisp & their color is bright. Flat plate printing, water-activated gum, perf 11.
