United states #529 3 cent washington type iii 1918 mnh

Mint never hinged. Type iii. Image seen on back actually appears to be bleed through of ink from front. I do not know if this is typical of stamps at this period, it is see on earlier stamps occasionally where aniline ink was used. At any rate, the image on back matches image on front position, and does not appear to be a transfer from another stamp. The gum is complete, but does have some light disturbed spots, and there is a thin straight line cutting diagonally across the gum from left center back going across and up to right at a slight angle. The paper is somewhat off white, creamy, darkened, and the color of the images is a duskier hue, as well. I know there is a variety of this stamp printed on on both sides, but the pictures of those i have seen do not reverse the image as is the case in this stamp.
